Simulation of an airfoil aerodynamics performance is a common problem in Computational Fluid Dynamics. Using this method, we can easily alter the shape of the airfoil, such as its chamber, thickness, leading edge radius etc. to obtain the highest lift to drag ratio, or it’s stall characteristic.
How we solved it
In this study, we use the Reynold-Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) method to solve the flow with efficient computational effort. To get better visualisation, we could use DES or LES depends on the simulation objective.
